MMF Martina (MMF Fayleen x MMF Marshall)
Martina is a lighter-colored chocolate hedgehog that traveled from Ohio to join us. She is a little shy at first, but once she warms up, is very energetic and friendly.
Tahoma
MMF Tahoma (MMF Ursah x MMF Terelle)
Tahoma comes to us all the way from Ohio to contribute to our herd! She brings her relaxed temperament and lovely brown color, and we hope she will be successful in sharing those with her offspring.
Spice
FHF Spice of Life (FHF Dori x SHH Neo Man)
Spice is technically in the “chocolate” category, but her quills are more of a reddish-brown. She lives up to her name in attitude, too! She’s had several nice litters for us, and now it’s time for her to rest on her laurels as a beloved pet. Spice is just over 2 years old.

Sophie is a lovely chocolate pinto with a gorgeous Algerian mask. She is friendly and energetic and we are excited to see what the future holds for her!
Juniper
SHH Mountain Juniper (MMF Tahnee x FHF Barney)
Junie is a nice Algerian chocolate hedgehog from Susan’s Hawkeye Hedgies. She is a fairly easygoing, petite girl.
Calais
HMT Calais (FHF Paris x SHH Neo Man)
Calais is a beautiful Algerian chocolate hedgehog who has the honor of being the first hedgehog born at Hazel Mountain to be included in the breeding program. She was the friendliest baby in her litter, and continues to demonstrate an outgoing personality. She also loves to explore outside. Here she is, imagining herself to be discovering new lands.
Kiara
FHF Kiara (FHF Kiana Girl x DFM Hutch)
Kiara is a nice dark Algerian gray hedgehog with a lovely mask. She is very active and loves to run in the wheel and swim. Here she is on a summer stroll.
Diva
FHF Lady Godiva (FHF Sierra Speed x DFM Ceasar)
Diva is an Algerian chocolate chip, which means she has a mixture of brown and white quills. She is always primping and posing, as she fancies herself a model. This is her famous “Chocolate Steel” look. Diva does not enjoy motherhood and would much rather be someone’s pampered pet.
Alessa
HMT Alessandra (FHF Zita x HMT Orion)
Alessa is an adorable Algerian white chocolate with cute little badger stripes. She is gorgeous, but alas, she is also rather grumpy. We try hard to have really sweet moms so that we end up with really sweet babies, so we’ve decided she’ll be better off as a pet for a patient family. Alessa is about 9 months old.

Kodiac
PST Kodiac (no pedigree available)
Kodi is an Algerian chocolate pinto hedgehog that has the honor of being our first breeding female. She is super sweet and very curious! With her docile temperament and beautiful markings, we hope she passes both on to her babies. Here she is enjoying the spring sunshine.
Available Hedgehogs
The hedgies listed below can’t wait to meet their new families! If you see your new best friend on this page, you can use PayPal to secure them for your very own. You can choose to submit the full amount (typically $200 but occasionally less depending on age and/or temperament), or a non-refundable $60 deposit. Any hedgehog chosen in this way will be unavailable for anyone else once the transaction is completed. If a deposit is placed, the remaining balance will be due when you pick up your hedgehog. If you would rather use cash or a credit card, e-mail us so we can make arrangements for you to come by.
Each baby hedgehog goes home with a care information sheet, a sample of the food they are currently on, and a 5-generation pedigree if requested (when available). All our babies are guaranteed against Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome. If you live locally, we can also provide the names of several area veterinarians that specialize in hedgehogs, in the rare event your hedgie requires medical care.
I do my best to describe colors and markings, however, final color and markings can’t be determined 100% until the last quilling, between 4-8 months of age. I can make color predictions, but not guarantees.

Upcoming litters
Litters are listed here from the time the female has been bred until the litter is old enough to photograph. This page is updated frequently!
Litters are moved up the list as they are born, and information about numbers, colors, and gender is added as it becomes apparent. Hedgehog moms are protective of their litters, so they cannot usually be peeked at to get more details until the babies are 10-14 days old. Relaxed moms may allow their litter to be inspected a little earlier, and sensitive moms may need more time before being disturbed.
Once the litters are 2-3 weeks old they will be shown to the folks on the waiting list so they can make their selections. Any babies that are not chosen by the waiting list will then be listed on the Available Babies page.

Hello, fellow breeders!
This page lists babies that I deem too nice to offer to pet homes without giving them a chance to pass on their genes. Of course, if you see something you like on the other pages, certainly let me know. I will be more than happy to hang on to babies until our next HedgeFest in October, but I completely understand if you’d like your new addition sooner. We can certainly make arrangements for shipping if you prefer.

The next round of babies won’t be ready to go home until July, and some of you have been waiting a long time! I have some young adults that I am placing in pet homes, but I have listed them here for you guys before putting them on the public page, just in case some of you would rather have a youngster now instead of a baby later. I am showing this page to all of you at once, but don’t fret–your place on the waiting list hasn’t been changed, and I will still show you babies in the order that you were added to the list.
The prices on this page reflect the fact that you have already placed a deposit. If you see the hedgie of your dreams here, you can pay your balance via Paypal. “Oliver” needs a new home!
Oliver is a handsome but skittish light chocolate boy with charming freckles on his nose! He needs a patient new home that will have the time to work with him on social skills (like not nibbling the hand that feeds!). He’s been vet checked to see if there might be a medical cause for his curmudgeonly behavior, and got a clean bill of health. He may never be extremely outgoing, but in a calm environment with the right people, he may learn to be more personable.
Oliver was born some time in June 2013, making him around a year and a half old. He has an enclosure, fleece bedding, a Carolina Storm bucket wheel with a litter tray, nail clippers, bath soap, and a some food and litter that are included in his adoption fee of $100.
