These litters are expected the week of 5-26-13, but can be up to 5 weeks late.  Babies cannot be handled until they are 2-3 weeks old to avoid stressing Mom–this is the hardest part for us!  Occasionally, an exceptional mom will let us take a peek earlier, but colors and patterns develop over time, so please be patient while we wait to see what we’ve got!

We were lucky enough to let some of our ladies “socialize” with the gentlemen of First Harmony Farms in Illinois.  Therefore, clicking on the names of the potential daddies will redirect you to their website.  When the ladies travel to breed, they do have a lower chance for a successful pregnancy, but we have our fingers crossed that at least a few of these litters will be successful:

Kiara x Trapper:  Should be a nice dark litter with the possibility of snowflaking as adults.

Whoopie is a lovely Algerian gray snowflake who has a nice dark mask.  She is sweet and laid back, and is turning into a great momma for us.

HMT Vida (FHF Kareena x SHH Neo Man)

Vidya is a very unique little girl!  She is a pale tan, not reddish at all, and her nose has a blue-gray cast rather than the typical reddish brown for a color as light as hers.  We have seen this color described as Algerian brown by some, and “blue amber” by others.  Whatever her color, we think she’s gorgeous!

SHH Whitney (SHH Mariah x FHF Charlie)

Whitney is a lovely chocolate slight snowflake girl who was originally intended to be a mom for us.  We ultimately decided against breeding her due to concerns about her pedigree.  That won’t stop her from being a lovely pet!  She is 8 months old, and is a calm lap-hedgehog.

Lucy is the light of our lives!  She is a sweet chocolate girl who takes after her mom in a lot of ways.  Hopefully she also inherited her mom’s good parenting skills!

Kala is a lovely reverse gray pinto with dark eyes, ears, and feet!  She also has the ever-popular no-smudge eyeliner that is all the rage these days.

Amelie is a lovely Algerian light chocolate who is sweet and personable.  She is the first Hazel Mountain “granddaughter” born here, and we are very proud of her.

Christie is a supermodel of a girl and we are thrilled to have her!  Her Algerian gray pinto good looks are a welcome addition to our herd.

HMT Illuyanka (BBH Tiamat x SHH Strider)

Illi is a nearly solid Algerian chocolate with a split mask.  She’s a bit shy but warms up quickly.  She is quite petite, and her only litter took a toll on her.  She did a great job raising her babies, but she’d be much happier if she never had to do that again!  She is about 8 months old.

HMT Aivi (FHF Sophitia x MCH Iggy)

Aivi has a lovely split face and two darling pink ears!  She is outgoing and perky and we are excited to see how she grows.

HMT Aislin (HMT Liadan x MMF Ouzo)

Aislin is the darkest hedgehog Hazel Mountain has ever produced, and we are so proud of her!  She has such a friendly and social personality, coming over to be picked up and then climbing up to the neck for snuggles.  We can’t wait to see the dark, friendly babies she produces!

Mairin is a nice dark Algerian gray with a spray of white “highlights” in on the crown of her head.  We are very excited to see what lovely dark babies she gives us!

Lala is a high-percentage snowflake with a nice stunning dark mask and ears.  She also has an adorable short nose!  Combined with her super-sweet personality, she’s everything we look for in a mom.

Caro is a sweet Algerian gray with a lovely mask.  She definitely makes the nights seem less lonely around here!  She loves to run in her wheel and hang out with the other ladies.

Kami is a gray reverse pinto with perfectly-applied eyeliner.  We love her striped ear!  Kami did a great job with her first litter, but it was pretty hard on her, so we’ve decided not to put her through that again.  She is about 8 months old.

Kara is a lovely split-face pinto girl who is sweet and playful.  She loves re-arranging the furniture in her enclosure to her exact specifications.

Bhuna is an Algerian chocolate chip with about 50% white quills.  She is a little more reserved than we like to see with our breeding moms, so we’re letting her go to a pet home.  She’ll need a calm, patient owner, but can still be a great pet!  She is about 8 months old.

SHH Akroma (SHH Dixie x BBH Dauber)

Akroma is an adorable fancy pinto with the slightest hint of a blaze down her nose.  We love her mis-matched legs!  We hope she’ll add to our pinto lines with a vengeance!

Dana is a stuning Algerian chocolate with a dark mask but medium chocolate quills.  She does have a smattering of snowflake quills which add to her charm.  We love her easy-going nature!

Venti is a gorgeous Algerian dark gray snowflake girl with energy to burn!  She loves to run and explore and say “hi” to everyone.

Delyth’s name means “beautiful” and that is what she is!  Her strong Algerian mask and flashy pinto spots make her quite the looker.  She also has a calm let’s-hang-out personality that we really enjoy.

Dove is a lovely white chocolate girl whose sweet personality won us over.  She is an active, adventurous girl who loves to explore.

Pixie has her mother’s sparkling personality and her father’s lovely Algerian mask.  We can’t wait to see what adorable babies she gives us!

Spirit is everything we look for in a pinto:  Short face with a nice dark Algerian mask, flashy high-contrast pinto pattern, and calm-but-social personality.  She’s a perfect 10!  Unfortunately for us, she has informed us that babies aren’t her thing and she’d rather be a pampered pet.  She is about 8 months old.

Sunny’s unique color (somewhere in the Algerian brown/blue amber range) coupled with her bright, unflappable personality are why we kept her.  She has continued to light up our life ever since!  However, she’s just not interested in motherhood at all, so she’s ready to be a spoiled pet.  She is about 8 months old.

Tali is a gorgeous gray snowflake with her mother’s sweetness.  She is calm and personable and has the flashy looks and adorable short face we prefer.

Chalcey was a complete surprise!  Her mother appears solid, and her daddy is a slight pinto.  They must have been hiding some hidden snowflake genes that produced this gorgeous dark Algerian chocolate chip.  We hope the nice dark mask she inherited from Mom continues to be passed down.

Moka is an adorable badger-striped Algerian chocolate chip.  She is as sweet and energy-filled as her namesake!

Algerian chocolate Hope was an only child, and therefore has always wanted a big family of her own.  This sweet girl will be given the opportunity to be a mom to many here!

FHF Sparhawk (FHF Phantom x SHH Sasha)

Sparhawk is a stunning Algerian gray blaze-face pinto that we are absolutely in love with.  He fancies himself a fierce warrior, and thinks his “crooked” nose distinguishes him from all the pretty-boys out there.  He has been a great dad for us, but we have plenty of his daughters so it’s time for him to move on.  He rarely puts his quills up, but is more of a runner/explorer than a couch-potato/snuggler.  He also has an old injury to his right eye that is healed but will never be quite normal.  He is less than a year old.

HMT Roman (HMT Calais x JBG Rupert)

Roman is an adorable Algerian chocolate slight snowflake boy that was too sweet to let go!  He lives most of his life as a pampered pet, but occasionally stops by to visit the ladies.  He is quite the romantic!

MCH Iggy (MCH Obsession x MMF Connor)

Iggy is a reverse gray pinto that has the best personality we’ve seen in a long time.  He’s so easy-going and never puts his quills up.  He’d be a great classroom pet or other hedgehog-ambassador.  He is currently staying in Colorado Springs, so he would need to be picked up there rather than in Arvada.  He’s about 10 months old.

MCH Vernor (MCH Kloe x MMF Orley)

Handsome badger-striped Vernor came to us all the way from Motor City Hedgehogs in Detroit!  He is an easy-going guy who loves to take his lady friends on old-fashioned dates to the soda fountain.  He hopes they don’t think he’s a jerk!

FHF Anouki (FHF Hazel x MMF Nalin)

Anouki is a very handsome high-white Algerian chocolate chip.  His favorite season is winter, and he loves to hang out on the sofa in his Snuggie and play video games while drinking hot cocoa (with marshmallows, of course!).

FHF Virginia Star (FHF Busy Girl x VHG Mayhem)

Ginny is a gorgeous silver/lilac pinto.  She loves hanging out and snuggling under a quilt.

D’art is a super sweet, easygoing guy!  He’s been a great dad for us here, but we now have plenty of his daughters (and even a son!) so it’s time for him to become a pampered pet.  He’s more of a couch-potato type, and is about 8 months old.

Brock has the most extensive facial pigmentation we’ve ever seen!  We are really enthusiastic about adding him to our dark breeding program.

We are very excited to have Korbin in our breeding program! He is a very dark gray hedgehog with a fabulous inky mask. Some may call him an “Algerian black.”  He comes to us from Millermeade Farms in Ohio.

MMF Ouzo (MMF Taipa x MMF Osrec)

Ouzo is a recent addition to our herd from Millermeade Farms. He is a dark gray boy who has a just a sprinkling of white snowflake quills.  

FHF Henry Ru (FHF Frenchie x Gadget)

Henry is a lovely Algerian chocolate snowflake hedgehog.  He was raised by a friend and her two lovely school-age daughters, so he is used to a lot of handling and attention!  Henry loves burrowing into your hair, climbing people, and kissing people. He digs his wheel, but can be messy about it.  He likes strawberries and cottage cheese.  He thinks dogs are cool, but utterly beneath him.

Odin is a very handsome light chocolate/brown boy.  He loves hanging out on the sofa watching football, especially his favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens.  We are excited to have him as part of our breeding program.

Lia is an adorable Algerian dark gray hedgehog.  When she was born, she was the darkest hedgehog we had ever produced–now that honor belongs to her daughter, Aislin.  We love her calm temperament and sweet face!

Stella is a lovely Platinum or Charcoal White hedgehog who is fairly relaxed.  She had one amazing litter for us, and decided she was done with motherhood.  She’s ready to be someone’s study buddy or TV pal.  She’s about a year and a half old.

Layla is a really nice Algerian gray hedgehog. She is social and relaxed and we are impatient to see how her babies will turn out.

Spice is technically in the “chocolate” category, but her quills are more of a reddish-brown. She lives up to her name in attitude, too!

Calais is a beautiful Algerian chocolate hedgehog who has the honor of being the first hedgehog born at Hazel Mountain to be included in the breeding program.  She was the friendliest baby in her litter, and continues to demonstrate an outgoing personality.  She also loves to explore outside.  Here she is, imagining herself to be discovering new lands.

Kiara is a nice dark Algerian gray hedgehog with a lovely mask.  She is very active and loves to run in the wheel and swim.  Here she is on a summer stroll.

FHF Lady Godiva (FHF Sierra Speed x DFM Ceasar)

Diva is an Algerian chocolate chip, which means she has a mixture of brown and white quills.  She is always primping and posing, as she fancies herself a model.  This is her famous “Chocolate Steel” look.  Diva does not enjoy motherhood and would much rather be someone’s pampered pet.

FHF Latte-Dah (FHF Cappuccino x DFM Ceasar)

Latte is a platinum hedgehog, which means her skin and eyes are dark even though her quills are white.  She is very active and playful and loves running in her wheel, and she has never met a stranger.

PST Kodiac (no pedigree available)

Kodi is an Algerian chocolate pinto hedgehog that has the honor of being our first breeding female.  She is super sweet and very curious!   With her docile temperament and beautiful markings, we hope she passes both on to her babies.  Here she is enjoying the spring sunshine.

The hedgies listed below can’t wait to meet their new families!  If you see your new best friend on this page, you can use PayPal to secure them for your very own.  You can choose to submit the full amount (typically $180 but occasionally less depending on age and/or temperament), or a non-refundable $60 deposit.  Any hedgehog chosen in this way will be unavailable for anyone else once the transaction is completed.  If a deposit is placed, the remaining balance will be due when you pick up your hedgehog.  If you would rather use cash or a credit card, e-mail us so we can make arrangements for you to come by.

Each baby hedgehog goes home with a care information sheet, a sample of the food they are currently on, and a 5-generation pedigree if requested (when available).  All our babies are guaranteed against Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome.  If you live locally, we can also provide the names of several area veterinarians that specialize in hedgehogs, in the rare event your hedgie requires medical care.

I do my best to describe colors and markings, however, final color and markings can’t be determined 100% until the last quilling, between 4-8 months of age.  I can make color predictions, but not guarantees.
